Phuket: Water No Have

Phuket: Water No Have

The Seashore Beach Cottages charge 4000 Baht per night for a mediocre bungalow plus reasonable breakfast. But when I need drinking water together with my breakfast, it is declined: "No have, sir." No drinking water? In Thailand?

A stall at Phuket town's night market charges 30 Baht for a hearty dinner with rice, veggies and meat. Free drinking water is supplied ad infinitum. This is Thailand.
